A common pattern is to convert the real world millimeter positions from the Leap Motion Controller into a (0,1) normal space, then convert those normal coordinates into your virtual coordinate space. There are simpler patterns as well, but this one gives a lot of easy hooks to customize the end-user experience I come from the 3D modeling world and wanted to render some meshes onto the hands with the leap motion sensor (like mocap) but have little experience. From what I gather regardless of where I build the mesh, it sounds like blender has a bit of a lack of support and unity is the move here Hi, recently I bought a new Leap Motion off of Amazon and installed the latest Orion software. The Leap motion controller uses infrared cameras and highly complex mathematical algorithms to translate hand and finger movements into 3D input. This unique approach allows Leap motion technology to be significantly more accurate than other motion-control technologies - and it's constantly improving Until the designers can create a way for the product to be just as sensitive but a little more wise, Leap Motion may cause more headaches than help. And while it's not a ridiculous amount of money to spend on new technology, for the way it works now (and doesn't work some of the time) putting out the $80 bucks should be thoughtfully considered If you're a Interaction Engine developer and want the ability to hold objects behind you, well outside of the Leap Motion's regular FOV. How does it work? The main principle, is that Handshake ingests hand tracking and controller data from various sources and converts them to the hand data format used by Ultraleap
